Borin Stelth 7
Borin Stelth 7
The Borin STELTH® 7 is a solid-state reference electrode designed for permanent installation in cathodic protection systems where, in addition to DC potential measurement, AC interference monitoring is required. The electrode combines a stable reference element with integrated AC/DC coupons, enabling simultaneous monitoring of the protection level and alternating current effects.
Thanks to its solid-state technology, the STELTH® 7 operates without a liquid electrolyte. This ensures maintenance-free operation, long-term stability, and a constant reference potential, even in aggressive soil or industrial environments. The integrated coupons allow accurate assessment of corrosion currents, AC current densities, and interference effects in accordance with commonly applied standards within pipeline integrity management.
The STELTH® 7 is specifically designed for locations where external AC sources, such as high-voltage power lines or electric traction systems, may create a risk of accelerated corrosion or safety issues.
Available reference systems:
- Cu/CuSO₄ – Standard for soil applications
- Ag/AgCl – For chloride-rich or marine environments
- Zn – For specific reference requirements
Typical applications:
Permanent monitoring of pipelines and buried structures near high-voltage power lines, railway infrastructure, or other sources of AC interference, where combined DC and AC assessment is essential for safe and standards-compliant operation.
