Underground metallic installations at fuel stations, such as storage tanks and pipelines, are continuously exposed to corrosion risks due to contact with moist soil and electrochemical influences. Through our specialised cathodic protection services, we support operators, installers, and asset owners in ensuring the safe and standards-compliant protection of this infrastructure.

A key part of our approach is the performance of reliable potential measurements on underground structures. These measurements allow us to assess the effectiveness of existing protection systems, identify potential corrosion risks, and recommend targeted improvements.

We also carry out checks on earthing and electrical continuity, as both play an important role in the correct operation of cathodic protection systems.

Based on the measurement results, we perform a targeted technical assessment and design study to determine the most suitable cathodic protection system. In many cases, this can be achieved through the strategic installation of the appropriate number and type of sacrificial anodes in backfill, or by means of an impressed current system providing tailored long-term protection.
