Borin Stelth 3

The Borin STELTH® 3 is a solid-state reference electrode designed for permanent installation in cathodic protection systems where long-term stability and maintenance-free operation are required. Using the same high-quality solid-state sensing technology as the other products in the STELTH range, the STELTH® 3 combines consistency, durability, and accurate potential measurement across a variety of soil and water environments.

Because it contains no liquid electrolyte, the STELTH® 3 is not susceptible to drying out, leakage, or electrolyte loss, contributing to a stable reference potential without the need for recalibration. Its construction and material selection are optimised for long-term performance, even under challenging corrosive conditions around pipelines, tanks, and other buried structures.

In addition to permanent installation, Cathec also recommends the STELTH® 3 for field measurements thanks to its robust design and stable measurement behaviour. In a portable configuration, it provides a reliable solution for inspections, potential measurements, and troubleshooting in the field.

Available reference systems:

• Cu/CuSO₄ – Widely used standard for soil and wet environments
• Ag/AgCl – Preferred choice for applications with higher chloride concentrations
• Zn – Specific reference version for particular corrosion conditions
