SALTEK CP-40 Box

The SALTEK CP40 is a combined AC decoupler and surge protection unit, specifically developed for cathodic protection systems exposed to AC interference and lightning risk.

The unit combines an AC diverter with a high-performance SPD module in a single robust enclosure. This allows induced AC voltages — for example from nearby high-voltage power lines — to be safely discharged to earth while allowing the cathodic protection system to continue operating without interference. At the same time, the integrated surge protection safeguards the installation against direct and indirect lightning events up to 100 kA.

With a continuous AC discharge capacity of up to 40 A, high fault-current withstand capability, and a maximum DC leakage current of only 1 mA at 18 V DC, the CP40 is fully compatible with ICCP installations. The unit helps protect both infrastructure safety and the integrity of rectifiers, measurement circuits, and monitoring equipment.

The SALTEK CP40 therefore provides an integrated solution for both AC interference mitigation and surge protection within professional cathodic protection systems.
