High-purity carbon backfill for cathodic protection

Cathec PetrolCoke Backfill is a high-purity petroleum coke, available in fine and medium grain sizes, for use as a conductive backfill in impressed current cathodic protection (ICCP) systems. The product promotes optimal current distribution around the anodes and reduces anode-to-soil resistance, resulting in efficient and durable corrosion protection. The lower resistance can also reduce the required rectifier rating and thereby help optimise overall system cost.

For applications in the presence of water, an adapted version is available: PetrolCoke W, which contains an additive to improve sinking behaviour. This version is supplied in 25 kg bags.
